In the afternoon of Sept., 10, 2013, Premier Li Keqiang had dialogues and exchanges, in Dalian, with entrepreneur representatives from China and abroad attending the 7th Summer Davos Forum.

More than 200 heads and entrepreneurs of the world's top multinational companies got together, looking forward to face-to-face exchanges with the Chinese Premier. The World Economy Forum Chairman Klaus Schwab hosted the dialogue.

Italy's ENI Chairman Giuseppe Recchi asked the first question to Premier Li Keqiang that the slowdown in the growth of the Chinese economy has triggered lots of attention from the international community, what do you think of the prospect of the Chinese economy.

Li Keqiang introduced the up-to-date status of the Chinese economy, and he said that affected by various international and domestic factors, the Chinese economy witnessed a slowdown, especially in the first half of the year, there was a big downward pressure. But we stay calm, stand firm, focus thinking and eyes on the front, make an overall plan of stabilizing growth, adjusting structure and promoting reform, and take measures that are conducive to not only the present but also the future, already receiving positive results. Looking into the future, we have the courage to overcome difficulties, and the wisdom to solve problems. Moreover, we have the diligence of more than 1.3 billion people, and totally have the ability and conditions to maintain long-term sustainable and healthy economic development.

Alcoa's Chairman Klaus Kleinfeld said that some Chinese graduates cannot find a suitable job, and at the same time, it is hard for some enterprises to recruit high-quality employees, and how the Chinese government is going to overcome the employment problem.

Li Keqiang said that employment is the biggest part of the people's livelihood, and the Chinese government will insist on positive employment policies for a long time. We will vigorously develop the service industry, which is the largest employment container, strengthen job training, make more people master employability skills that are in line with the market demand, and strive to promote equal employment opportunities. We will help everyone get their deserved post and pay, through their own efforts, skills and professional abilities.

Entrepreneurs are concerned about the prospect of China's reform. Chairman of the U.S.-based DuPont Ellen Kullman asked what are the difficulties and focus of China's current economic restructuring.

Li Keqiang said that reform not only contains huge dividends, but also touches interests, and therefore, it is a challenge as well. The Chinese government will continue to push forward reform, with a strong determination, to deal with the relationship between the government and the market, and to streamline administration and delegate power to the lower levels, to activate market vitality, to take care of the government business, and to create a market environment of fair competition. "Live up to our words". Give due play to the market, stimulate greater vitality, and let the masses enjoy the fruits of reform.

There were several other entrepreneurs who asked questions on hot issues, such as what policies and support the Chinese government has for enterprises "going global", and how China avoids walking the old road of "pollution first, treatment later". Li Keqiang made honest and in-depth answers to their questions one by one, and had interactions with everyone.

The whole dialogue was like a press conference, and the 90 minutes was passed unconsciously in the questions and answers and enthusiastic exchanges. At last, Li Keqiang said that China will have an open mind and innovation spirit to create a fairer environment for the enterprises of all countries and to realize mutual benefits and win-win results.

Klaus Schwab said that Premier Li Keqiang had sincere communications with entrepreneurs, which gave us a more comprehensive, profound and accurate understanding of China's economic situation and economic policies, and made us have more confidence in China's economic prospect. We believe that China will play a due role in the recovery of the global economy.

State Councilor Yang Jing was present at the activity.
