Notice for China-Bound Passengers

Starting from November 14, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in Egypt will issue health codes according to following requirements.

 

1. Passengers traveling to China must take ONE nucleic acid test within 48 hours before departure and get their test results from laboratories, then apply for health code from the Chinese Embassy (e.g. If the flight departs on Saturday 17:15, the sampling time can be after Thursday 17:15, and the applying time must be before Saturday 11:15.).

 

2. Transit passengers can choose to do the nucleic acid test at the place of origin or transit, within 48 hours of the departure time of the flight to China, and apply for the health code at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate at the place of testing. 

*Please ensure your “green code” remains valid before departure of your final flight to China. 

*Please notice that there is no any laboratory institution in the Cairo airport transit area.

 

3. Any passengers who need apply for the health code from the Chinese Embassy in Egypt should take the nucleic acid test in Egypt. And the samples can be collected and tested at any legal laboratory institution in Egypt. The test reports should contain specific information such as name, passport number, date of birth, date of collection, date of report and the QR code for authenticity checking.

 

4. Foreign passengers should apply for the health code by logging on the website of http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/. All passengers should submit the application at least 6 hours before the flight departure. The Embassy will review and issue the health code according to the order in which the application was submitted. The following documents should be uploaded for health code application:    

(1) Nucleic acid test result.

(2) Flight itinerary.

(3) Passport.

(4) Chinese visa or resident permit.
